One of my favorites this year, Sue and Doug's Cape Breton wedding was a joyful celebration with family, friends and more kids than I've seen at any other wedding... the energy was amazing! It was my first time taking photos in Inverness and I was blown away by the stunning landscape. It poured rain the day before and after, but we lucked out with a beautiful day for the wedding. We started with family photos at Doug's parent's 200+ year old home before taking wedding party photos near the beach. The ceremony and reception took place at the Inverness County Centre for the Arts. It was a fantastic venue for a wedding (and I think very fitting for two creative people to be married). I loved the combination of historical and contemporary locations for this event. Everything they planned – flowers, food, decorations and music – came together perfectly in a way that made this wedding unique and special. It was obvious that friends and family were one of the most important parts of this celebration. I loved that one of Sue and Doug's most meaningful moments was saying their vows with "utter certainty." Congratulations to Susanne and Doug! Thank you for inviting me to be a part of your beautiful wedding day.
